The following is an interview with Trevor who does the framing for Mytri.com.au and My Sporting Memories. (page to follow)
Trevor has 25 years of experience in framing this type of product.
Me: Hi Trevor, I want to explain the differences in the quality of your products and process over some of your competitors.
Trevor: We do about 500 jerseys a year, for customers like the NRL, Cricket Australia, and Mytri. So, the quality has to be the best.
First of all, we use acid-free matt board and acid-free product throughout the framing process.
Me: Why is “acid-free” so important?
Trevor: With the jerseys, even they though they are clean, they are match worn, over time they will go moldy, and just rot away, if not treated properly. The acid-free board adds to the sterile environment for the jersey. The same can be said for the ribbon that holds a medallion. It might have picked up the sweat from an athlete and will stain and rot like a match worn jersey. We are careful with the products used around them, and the treatment of them, to ensure the whole package lasts a lifetime.
Me: So, the jerseys and ribbons are treated, and the surrounding products are first class, so the product will last?
Trevor: Yes, I have been doing this for 25 years. We have no issues with our product and expect no issues while we keep to a high standard. No cut corners, no compromises.
Me: So, then the product is framed?
Trevor: Yes, the jersey and any other items are sealed into the frame. All of the printed products like photos are done on our Epson large format printer, which uses Epson Ultra-Chrome inks. Products printed with this product will last 75 years on the Premium-Lustre photo paper we use.
Me: Wow, that will outlast the customer!
Trevor: That is what we want. A quality product that will last.
Me: Is there anything else that makes your products stand out from our competitors?
Trevor: Apart from a huge selection of quality frames and a solid backing board, we use 3mm glass. That is not the standard in the industry. Most use 2mm, which is too flimsy and will break easily. We also use stainless steel staples to hold the jersey in place. All of the photos and plaques are created in-house, so we can ensure the quality and have flexibility in our designs.
Me: Thank you for your time today Trevor, it was a pleasure to chat with you.
As mentioned by Trevor, our products are made with no compromises of quality and will last longer and look better than most of the competitor products in the market. No wonder they are trusted by Cricket Australia, and the NRL, just to name a few of their customers.
We hope to make you a valued customer and vocal advocate for our products.
